The service is whatever you need done with your data. Below are the kinds of job people tend to ask for, so you can see the range. If yours is not here, it is still worth asking.
Cleaning and joining
Duplicates removed, values standardised, records from two or three systems matched into one. You get the result back in the format you use, with a log of what changed.
Analysis and reporting
A question about your business answered from your own data, in plain English, with the figures behind it. One-off, or the same report every month or quarter from the exports you already produce.
Moving and rebuilding
Getting data out of one system and safely into another, or rebuilding the spreadsheet that runs the business so it is documented, checked and refreshable.

How it starts
Four steps, and the first one is credited or refunded.
Nothing is priced until we have seen the data. The consultation is where that happens, and the booking fee is the only thing you pay to get there.

Pick a time that suits you. £25.00 reserves the slot, and that is the only thing you pay at this stage.

We go through the job together
What you want done, what data you hold, and what can be done with it. You get a straight answer either way.

You get a fixed price in writing
A price and a delivery date, agreed before any work starts, with the £25.00 taken off. If you go ahead, the conversation has cost you nothing.

If we cannot help, the fee comes back
In full. If the job is not something we can do well, we would rather say so and refund the £25.00 than take the work and hope.

Why there is no price list
Nobody can honestly price data work before they have seen the data. Two spreadsheets can look identical and take a day or a fortnight to reconcile. So instead of a menu of guesses, every job is quoted after the consultation, in writing, and the price does not move once agreed.
Your data while we have it
How your data is handled.
Once a job goes ahead, these apply to every file you send. Each one is a commitment, not a preference.
- Nothing is sent until a written agreement is in place, covering how we handle your data, who else sees it and when we delete it.
- Data is transferred by a private, expiring, password-protected link. Never as an email attachment.
- All attempts are made to remove personalised details before any tasks are undertaken.
- It is deleted on delivery, and we confirm that to you in writing with the date.
- We do not take on work involving health, ethnicity, criminal records or anything about children.
- Everything we do with your data is handled in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Where AI is used
The work is done by a person.
The work is done by a person. At times we may use one AI tool to help with parts of it, such as writing and testing code or drafting a first pass of the write-up. Everything it produces is checked and signed off by us before you see it.
- One tool only, provided by Anthropic, a company based in the United States.
- They do not train their models on anything we send. That is a setting on our account which we keep switched off and check.
- Anything sent is deleted by them within 30 days.
- Efforts are made to remove personal details before anything is sent, and never to send more than the work requires.
- The transfer is covered by the standard legal safeguards for sending data outside the UK.
